Join Nick Martin, Park Educator, for a walk along two carriage roads to reach Kempton Ledge, a scenic vista overlooking the Palmaghatt Ravine. The distance for this outing is approximately three miles and takes place entirely on carriage roads, which offer a stable and relatively easy walking experience. On a clear day, we should have nice views of the Palmaghatt Ravine and Gertrude’s Nose. Meet at the Minnewaska Nature Center. If the carriage roads at Lake Minnewaska are groomed for cross-country skiing, this hike will change locations. Pre-registration is required by calling Minnewaska at 845-255-0752.
