RUDRA World Jazz Fusion at Unison Arts Center in New Paltz

Join an evening of incredible world jazz fusion featuring Bobby Rozario, Fernando Garcia, Swaminathan Selvaganesh and Premik Russell Tubbs.

Premik Russel Tubbs: Currently Premik is a part of the Rudra project and has also performed on the Rudra Album produced by guitarist Bobby Rozario, where they perform original compositions blending hindustani classical and western jazz. Premik has recorded several world music records along with spiritual master Sri Chinmoy, Steve Booke and Shambhu Vineberg as well as music for different short films. Since the 1970s he worked with a wide range of artists such as John McLaughlin, Narada Michael Walden, Jackson Browne, Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, Yoko Oginome, Cecil McBee, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, Jean-Luc Ponty, T.M. Stevens, Wayne Shorter and many more.[1] His saxophone was featured on hits like “How Will I Know”, “Baby Come to Me and “We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off”

Bobby Rozario is a guitarist and composer with Indian/Portuguese roots based in New York City. A third generation musician, is trained in hindustani classical tradition from india. His other influences include some of guitar’s greatest virtuosi such as John McLaughlin and Paco De Lucia. Through all these backgrounds Mr. Rozario has developed his own unique tone and playing style.

Swaminathan Selvaganesh is none other than the grandson of master percussionist Vikku Vinakram (formerly with John McLaughlin’s Shakti) and has fully mastered the intricacies of the Khanjira (South Indian percussion instrument)
