First Annual Car Free Day Hudson Valley
Celebrated every Sept. 22 in more than 2,000 cities and 40 countries, Car Free Day is meant to encourage people to get around more sustainably – ride a train or bus, walk, bike, telecommute, drive an EV or carpool. This event intends to raise awareness of alternative transportation options, reduce traffic, conserve energy, reduce harmful emissions, reduce parking problems, and save money. The Hudson Valley will be joining over 2,000 cities and 40 countries in this initiative to draw attention to the benefits of going car free, and improve the quality of life here in the Hudson Valley. Please check out our website.

We are in the final stretch of Car Free Day Hudson Valley and though we have a lot of people participating (1100 and counting), we want to push participation even further. Join the effort and pledge to reduce emissions and pollution as a community on Sept. 22. Make sure to encourage others to pledge to be Car Free or Car-Lite.
