"Elverhoj Arts & Crafts Colony of Milton-on-Hudson, 1913-1935" A Presentation by Ulster County Historical Society

A New York State Path Through History Weekend Event. Join the Ulster County Historical Society for a presentation and exhibit on the Elverhoj Arts & Crafts Colony.  Established by two Danish-American silversmiths, Anders H. Andersen and Johannes Morton, Elverhoj (Danish for “hill of the fairies”) was known for jewelry and silverware designed and made by individual artists.  A special exhibit containing documents showing the diversity of the projects at Elverhoj and design drawings of items created at the colony will be on display. The presentation will cover the ongoing research being done on the little known but significant art colony. Presentation at 1:30 p.m.
