Earth Day Volunteering and Celebration at The Ashokan Center

Earth Day is the perfect reason to get involved at The Ashokan Center, where we've been offering environmental and outdoors education for 50 years. Come and join your community, get outside, and learning a little more about nature. Two ways to participate or join us for both.

Volunteers outdoors: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Earth Day Volunteers receive free lunch. Please bring your own work gloves, work boots, and gardening tools. Tasks to include:
garden preparation, trail and path maintenance, invasive removal. Register to volunteer.

Celebrate indoors: 4 p.m.-9 p.m. John Burroughs reading and talk by scholar Jeff Walker, dinner by Chef Bill Warnes, mini concert by Jay Ungar and Molly Mason and square dance with the Walker Family Band. Cost for the dinner/dance is $30 for adults, $15 for kids or Earth Day volunteers. Pay at the door.
