Catskill Mountain 100k Road Race and Relay

Devleoped in 1992, this race is still the only 100k relay race in the Northeast and the oldest relay of any distance in the region. Runner may enter run as a team or solo with a crew to support. To date, only 17 solo runners have officially comlpeted the entire course. Register online.

The adventure begins on the quietness of High Street (a.k.a. Woodland Valley Road) in Phoenicia as the birds wake up and the sun rises above the majesty of the Slide-Cornell-Wittenberg triumvirate of mountains. As you continue along, take in the colossal beauty of Balsam, Big Indian and Panther Mountains between 25k and 40k. Drink in the tranquility of Frost Valley as you near the 50k mark, wave to bald eagles as you pass alongside the Rondout Reservoir at 75k and let the waterfalls be your music as you climb up toward Wagon Wheel Gap (and alongside the earliest runnings of the Rondout Creek) in the final stages of the race. Awards and picnic will occur at Davis Park, 45 Watson Hollow Road, West Shokan.
