Boat Helm Build 05/23/2020 - 05/24/2020

Join woodworker Peter Duncan to build your own boat helm. Built with solid wood laminations, this class will give you experience with edge gluing and laminating multiple wood layers. You will also gain experience using a band saw circle cutting jig and a router and pattern bit to cut shapes to a template. All materials and tools  are included and each student will leave with a helm ready for their finish of choice. He owns a sawmill in Western Connecticut where he produces almost all of his own lumber from locally grown forests.
