Ars Choralis presents Lincoln: Lamp of Liberty in Kingston

Woodstock based Ars Choralis will be joined by the Riverview Missionary Baptist Church Choir of Kingston to honor the renowned 16th president of the United States in a concert of words and music. Included among the Civil War era songs on the program are some of Lincoln's favorites: spirituals, freedom songs, fiddle tunes and sentimental ballads. Pianist Andrea Shaut, guitarist Greg Dinger, percussionist Chris Earley, banjoist Jim Sullivan and fiddler Gilles Malkine will perform with the chorus. Mr. Malkine will also narrate excerpts from Lincoln's letters, speeches and proclamations.
