“Living Letters” Performance at The Dorsky Museum, SUNY New Paltz

"Living Letters" is a new musique concrète composition by SUNY New Paltz Professor Bob Lukomski. Sourced from audio letters made by his father, Sgt. Joseph Lukomski, while he was stationed at Camp Casey in South Korea from 1966–1967, this work for live sequenced computer and reel-to-reel tape explores the nature of personal communication, physical separation, and routine in the pre-internet era. 7 p.m.
