Writing Workshop II: Writing the Impermissible - Forbidden Narratives, by Nancy Kline at Saugerties Public Library

A Shout Out Saugerties Event. What do we writers find impermissible to write, in these turbulent times? What stories are we not permitted to tell? What stops us? And what do we do about it? This hands-on workshop — pen to paper (bring both) — will explore such questions, and, if we’re lucky, raise others. Free to public. Enrollment limited. Please e-mail info@shoutoutsaugerties.org

Nancy Kline’s short stories, essays, memoirs and translations of modern French poetry have appeared widely. She writes for The New York Times Sunday Book Review (most recently, “Paris Short List,” 2/5/17) and has published nine books. She teaches for Poets & Writers, the Bard Institute for Writing & Thinking, and the Bard Prison Initiative.
