This annual women’s only race is one-of-a-kind as the only women’s out-and-back race course in the United States. Starting at 8 a.m. from Tinker Street in Woodstock, professional women riders and non-pro alike will tackle this challenging, mountainous course, riding either a world class 62.1-mile course or a 34-mile course that includes ascending and descending Overlook Mountain.
The race begins and ends in Ulster County's iconic Woodstock and encompasses the best roads in the townships of Woodstock, Phoenicia, Hurley and Saugerties. The course highlights what Ulster County has to offer to both the recreational and competitive bicyclist. The course includes the ever-challenging Meads Mountain Road which scales Overlook Mountain for two miles, at an average of seven percent grade. The Pro riders get the added bonus of traversing the infamous Ohayo Mountain, Seven Sisters, named for seven steep and tight turns, and a visit through the lovely town of Phoenicia. The awards ceremony and community BBQ will take place at the Woodstock Community Center after all the races end, approximately 11 a.m.
